John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917, to Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy of Brookline, Massachusetts. Carl Kaysen (b. 1920), economist, educator, and government official, was a professor at Harvard University from 1946 to 1966. He served the Kennedy administration as Deputy Special Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs from1961 to 1963.
